Karysa Jimenez, LMFT

Karysa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in both California and Nevada. Originally from Alpine, California, she lived in several regions across the state before relocating to Nevada in 2025. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University.

Karysa works with adults who often feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in a chronically activated nervous system—experiences that are frequently shaped by trauma, difficult experiences growing up, or unhealthy relationship patterns.

Her approach to therapy is warm, trauma-informed, and straightforward. She values honesty in the therapeutic process and believes that meaningful insight and growth often come from unfiltered, authentic conversations. Her hope is to help clients make sense of the experiences and challenges they are navigating in a way that supports meaningful growth moving forward.

Outside of her clinical work, Karysa enjoys the outdoors, cooking, trivia, and live music. If you feel you may be a good fit to work together, she invites you to reach out and looks forward to connecting with you.

Clinician’s Specialties

Karysa recognizes that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. She tailors her approach to each individual’s needs, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities including person-centered therapy, experiential approaches, polyvagal-informed work, attachment-based therapy, and cognitive behavioral techniques.
