Kim Austin
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who values empathy, respect, and inclusivity. Having earned my Master’s in Counseling from UNR, I am dedicated to creating a welcoming and nurturing environment where all aspects of you are embraced. My experience with early childhood highlights how the wounds of our formative years can continue to impact us, and I strive to address these with sensitivity and care. My goal is to partner with you in exploring your unique experiences and to develop strategies that align with your personal values and goals. I believe that you are the expert on yourself, and together we can identify and support the areas that need attention.
As a woman of color, I understand the unique challenges and nuances that BIPOC identities may face. I am committed to providing a safe and affirming space where your identity is celebrated, and where the stigma and difficulties you encounter outside the therapy room are approached with the respect and sensitivity they deserve.
